The EdgeSafe PST2PST Backup application is working beautifully. The backups run quickly, once configured, with little or no effect on the users. The email notification makes it easy to see incomplete backups if a mobile user disconnects from the network.
Using the application has restored confidence for users who travel with notebooks overseas, knowing their mail folders are stored safely on our server.

With email having become the major element in the communications suites of most firms, the issue of how to effectively backup the personal mail store (pst) has become a vexing problem.
We have tried everything -- scripted closed file backup to the server in the middle of the night, user-controlled closed file backup at the start of the day, during the lunch hour, and at the end of the day -- nothing works seamlessly, regularly, or consistently, except PST2PST.
Once installed, it is a set and forget application that maintains email backup in realtime, such that in the event of a workstation disaster, email is easily restored. Without this utility, restoration was nothing short of a nightmare. The email backup repository (on the server) is archived, such that even if an wholesale disaster were to occur, all personal mail stores could be easily restored.
I would recommend this application to anyone.
